A two-day, cross-disciplinary design workshop, which brought designers and social scientists into conversation to explore alternate conceptions of nations, borders, and migration—from bacteria at the scale of the human body to digital planetary infrastructures.
This worksheet was used to help prompt and locate ideas. It maps the interconnected underpinnings of nations as we understand them today, spanning the roles of technology, territory, ideology, and dissent, and explores the ways movement and space are co-constructed.
Hosted by The New School as part of the “Imaginative Mobilities” Sawyer Seminar.
